Event Details

WHEN: November 16–21, 2025
WHERE: Supercomputing 2025, America’s Center Convention Complex, St. Louis, Missouri

Exhibit Highlights

1. Powering AI Breakthroughs

Western Digital will demonstrate how its storage platforms integrate seamlessly with leading AI infrastructure providers to eliminate bottlenecks and accelerate discovery. Through collaboration with PEAK:AIO, the company will showcase how modern NVMe-oF™ architectures enable storage and compute to scale independently, optimizing GPU utilization and reducing time-to-insight for demanding AI and HPC workloads.

2. Democratizing SMR for AI & HPC

The company will demonstrate how specialized file-system optimizations are enabling broader adoption of SMR HDDs across AI and HPC environments. Ecosystem partners Leil Storage and Swiss Vault have developed solutions that leverage SMR’s sequential-write efficiencies while managing host-specific requirements.

With Western Digital’s Ultrastar® Data60 and Data102 JBODs and its new 32TB UltraSMR HDDs, customers can achieve extraordinary density—up to 3.26 PB in a single Data102 enclosure—making exabyte-scale analysis both sustainable and cost-efficient for universities, research labs, and mid-market enterprises.

3. Expanded OCCL Ecosystem

Western Digital is growing its Open Composable Compatibility Lab, welcoming new participants including ASUS, Leil Storage, Open-E, Solidigm, and Swiss Vault. The expanded ecosystem provides pre-validated, vendor-neutral, interoperable configurations, reducing integration risk and accelerating deployment. Newly validated SSDs from partners such as DapuStor, Phison, SanDisk, and Solidigm enable customers to fine-tune performance, cost, and supply-chain continuity.

Exhibit Hours

  • Tuesday, November 18 – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

  • Wednesday, November 19 – 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

  • Thursday, November 20 – 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

“At Supercomputing 2025, we’re demonstrating Western Digital’s leadership in enabling AI and HPC workloads to scale efficiently across every environment,” said Kurt Chan, Vice President and General Manager, Western Digital Platforms Business. “Our platforms act as force multipliers—from democratizing SMR for exabyte-scale analysis to expanding our OCCL ecosystem. We aren’t just meeting today’s infrastructure needs; we are building the foundation for tomorrow’s most demanding computational challenges.”
