Entries Invited for “Traffic Junction Jewels” Photo Contest and Reel Contest of “Tourism Weekend Getaways of Hyderabad” – Last Date November 22, 2025

Hyderabad, Nov 20: The Tourism Committee of the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTCCI), one of the 23 expert committees of the 108-year-old apex trade body, invites entries for two unique initiatives — Traffic Junction Jewels Photo Contest and the Tourism Weekend Getaways of Hyderabad Reel Contest. The contests are being organised in collaboration with the Tourism Department, Government of Telangana; GHMC; NITHM; Telangana Police; Hyderabad City Police; and the Traffic Police, to document, promote, and celebrate the tourism potential of Hyderabad and Telangana.
The Traffic Junction Jewels Photo Contest encourages citizens to capture Hyderabad’s creative and culturally enriched traffic junction attractions — including installations, fountains, sculptures, murals, statues, and beautification features that have transformed road intersections into artistic urban landmarks. “Every citizen must explore their own city first — before venturing into the rest of the state, country, or the world,” said Prakash Ammanbolu, Chairman of the FTCCI Tourism Committee. “This contest helps people pause, appreciate, and celebrate the city’s everyday art that we often overlook while commuting.”
The Tourism Weekend Getaways of Hyderabad Reel Contest, designed for travellers, families, content creators, and students, invites engaging reels (up to 60 seconds) on destinations located approximately within 150 km of Hyderabad. These may include lakes, forts, heritage towns, trekking routes, temples, food hubs, dhabas, eco-parks, resorts, and cultural spaces.
“Hyderabad has hundreds of incredible weekend getaway options, yet many citizens remain unaware of them, while destination owners struggle to reach their audiences,” said D. Ramchandram, Co-Chairman of the Tourism Committee. “This contest bridges the gap by generating authentic, people-driven content that inspires travel. We welcome reels from both visitors and destination owners.”
The contests aim to highlight lesser-known destinations, create visibility for tourism promoters, and help citizens discover new leisure, cultural, and adventure experiences. Both contests are open to all age groups, carry no entry fee, and allow unlimited entries. The last date for submissions is November 22, 2025, and entries should be emailed to micetourism@ftcci.in, clearly mentioning the contest name in the subject line. Winners will be felicitated on November 26, 2025, on the eve of Father of Tourism Day(which falls on Nov 22nd).
For the photo contest, participants must submit JPEG images (≤10 MB) along with a short write-up on the attraction’s name, location, and speciality, along with their contact details. Stock or freshly taken photos are allowed, but only original, non-plagiarised entries will be accepted, with minimal editing permitted. For the reel contest, participants must submit Instagram Reels or MP4 videos up to 60 seconds featuring destinations within 150 km of Hyderabad. Destination owners may also submit their own reels.
Attractive cash prizes will be awarded in both contests: ₹10,000 for the first prize, ₹7,500 for the second prize, ₹5,000 for the third prize, and five consolation prizes of ₹1,000 each. All entries become part of the FTCCI Tourism Committee’s collection and may be featured in a photo exhibition, a Coffee Table Book, a calendar, or on FTCCI and partner social media channels with full credits. A distinguished jury consisting of eminent photographers, filmmakers, tourism experts, and cultural leaders will evaluate submissions based on originality, creativity, technical quality, storytelling, and overall impact. FTCCI employees and Tourism Committee members are not eligible to participate.
