Bengaluru, Jan 23: Sona Centre for Advanced Learning & Entrepreneurship (SCALE), the Sona Valliappa Group’s integrated talent and innovation hub, today launched the three month SONA Finishing School Programme, a comprehensive initiative aimed at enhancing the industry readiness of final year MBA students from Sona School of Business & Management. The programme reflects SCALE’s commitment to creating graduates who are not only academically proficient but also confident, employable, and future ready.
Mr Thyagu Valliappa, Vice Chairman of the Sona Valliappa Group, made the announcement at the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry, highlighting the initiative’s role in bridging academia and industry. Senior industry leaders, faculty members, and students were present during the launch. The event was graced by Mr Ishan Sharma, YouTuber and content creator, as the Chief Guest, who addressed the students and shared insights on personal branding, communication, and career growth.

A key highlight of the programme is its collaboration with Grant Thornton, whose expertise in professional services and corporate training will bring real-time industry insights and global best practices into the learning ecosystem. The industry guest for the launch, Mr Pradeep Pander, Partner, Grant Thornton, addressed the students, saying:
“As an MBA graduate, please speak and also speak at the times when you are asked to. Students, you have taken the very first step by being here. That is the first step to success.”
The three month SONA Finishing School Programme focuses on experiential learning that goes beyond textbooks, ensuring students gain confidence, employability, and readiness to excel in dynamic professional environments. The programme will also facilitate engagement with industry leaders, offering mentorship, workshops, and practical exposure to real-world business challenges.
