NEW DELHI, Feb 18: India Today Group today announced the debut of Sutra, an AI-driven news anchor, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. Developed in collaboration with BharatGen and showcased by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Sutra aims to enhance news accessibility by delivering concise, contextual insights in real time.
Introduced during the Summit in New Delhi, Sutra is designed to intelligently synthesise complex information and present key developments in a clear and accessible format. Its debut presentation focused on major highlights and policy discussions from the AI Impact Summit, demonstrating its ability to bridge high-level discourse and public understanding.
The initiative marks a significant step in the India Today Group’s commitment to integrating advanced technology within a rigorous editorial framework. Sutra seeks to help audiences navigate fast-moving news cycles by offering structured summaries and contextual clarity without compromising journalistic standards.
