Jaipur, 8th October 2025: India’s leading luxury quartz surface brand, Specta Quartz Surfaces, has unveiled the latest chapter of its celebrated campaign, ‘Stories Cast in Stone’, featuring internationally acclaimed sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik. Known for transforming the beaches of Puri into breathtaking canvases of social and environmental messages, Sudarsan’s journey is a powerful reflection of art’s ability to transcend boundaries and inspire change.
In the campaign film, Sudarsan shares his deeply personal journey of growing up by the sea in Puri, Odisha, where his only artistic medium was sand. With limited access to art materials as a child, he found his voice through the grains beneath his feet. What began as simple shapes on the beach soon evolved into intricate sculptures that captured the imagination of onlookers and earned him early recognition. He says, “That appreciation became my inspiration,” eventually leading him to represent India on global platforms and win several international awards for his artistry and messages of peace, climate action and social awareness.
